NEPAD Council’s Commission of socio-economic Development and Trade together with The NEPAD Secretariat, Ikapa Media and partners are to hold the 2nd EABS and the 1st Infrastructure Conference at the ICC in Durban South Africa. Dates are to be announced.

EABS 2010 is a public and private sector Conference exclusively dedicated to advancing NEPAD/AU infrastructure development projects plans and builds on the resounding success of the EABS held in 28th through 30th April 2008 in Hamburg/Germany.

The New Partnership for Africa’s Development was adopted in 2001 as a socio-economic development programme of the African Union and cognisant of the challenges and opportunities deriving from NEPAD, we all fully recognise that the development of regional infrastructure is critical for sustaining regional economic development and trade through the sharing of production, management and operations of infrastructure facilities and through hubs as well as development corridors.

Therefore, further expanding the program, the NEPAD/AU will continue to bring together international governments, leaders of autonomous trade regions, multilateral and bilateral lending agencies, public & private sectors investors, trade representatives, manufacturers, exporters, brokers, suppliers and service providers - from expert technical personnel to global executives, with the single goal of supporting and participating in
Africa’s infrastructure development.
